Journal Options

The Journal Options Maintenance is where you setup how Journals function within your LightWork system.

Helpful Information:

  1. Author
    This is the User who created the Journal.

  1. General Tab

    1. Allow Private
      Allows you to set a Journal to private.

    2. Default to Private
      Defaults a Journal to private every time a new Journal is created.
      Note: This can always be unselected when creating a Journal.

    3. Create for Self
      Allows a User to create a Journal for themselves.

    4. Create for Direct Reports
      Allows a Manager to create a Journal for Direct Reports.

    5. Create for Indirect Reports
      Allows a Manager to create a Journal for those who do not report directly to them.

    6. Author Can Edit
      Allows the author (creator) of a Journal to edit the Journal.

    7. Author Can Delete
      Allows the author (creator) of a Journal to delete the Journal.

    8. 'About' Employee Can Edit
      Allows the Employee the Journal is assigned to access to edit the Journal.

    9. 'About' Employee Can Delete
      Allows the Employee the Journal is assigned to access to delete the Journal.

  2. Field Access Tab

    1. Title
      Allows the title for a Journal to be available and/or required.

    2. Journal Type
      Allows the type for a Journal to be available and/or required.

    3. Description
      Allows the description for a Journal to be available and/or required.

  3. Save
    Once you are satisfied with your selections, click on 'Save'.
